We’ve all heard it:

Work harder.
Push longer.
Grind ‘til you bleed.

But let’s pause for a second… and take a look at this masterpiece of anti-effort brilliance:

It’s a screenshot.
Of a text conversation.
Framed.
Used as an actual club poster.

No design. No layout tools. No logo.
Just:
– Texts.
– A screenshot.
– Done.

And guess what?
It works. Better than most “professional” posters ever will.

Why This “Lazy” Poster Is Actually Brilliant

  • It breaks expectations – Everyone expects a polished design. This isn’t. That’s why it gets noticed.
  • It’s human – Real conversation, not some marketing blurb. Feels honest, not rehearsed.
  • It’s funny – The sheer audacity of it makes you laugh. And laughter is sticky.
  • It saves time – Someone made this in under a minute… and it’s brilliant.

The Evolution of Cleverness

Let’s zoom out for a moment — way out.

Humans didn’t get ahead by working harder. Apes are strong, sure. But they didn’t invent cities, satellites, or Spotify playlists.

We advanced because we started using tools.
Sticks to reach fruit. Rocks to crack bones. Fire to cook. Wheels to move.

Not because we wanted to be lazy — but because we realised smart beats strong.
And guess what? That same truth still applies.

Today’s tools look different:

  • Scheduling apps
  • Content templates
  • ChatGPT
  • SEO plugins
  • Automation platforms
  • AI writing assistants (hello 👋)
But the idea is the same:
Don’t fight the mountain when you can build a lift.

What You Can Learn from Dave’s “Poster”

  • Don’t overcomplicate everything. If simple works, use it.
  • Tools, tech, and clever ideas exist to help you. Let them.
  • If you’re stuck, ask: What would my resourceful ancestor with a rock do?
  • Originality often beats polish.
  • And yes, sometimes “lazy” is just a synonym for efficient.

So Do It This Way:

Work hard if it matters. don’t make a religion out of it. Work smart, with the right tools — that’s how humans evolved. Help yourself.

The caveman who invented the wheel didn’t work harder, he just didn’t want to carry stuff anymore, and honestly that’s the energy I’m bringing this week. Sometimes the shortcut is the masterpiece, sometimes, “lazy” is genius.

And sometimes… you just need to be a little more like Dave.
